As part of National Investment Bank PLC’s renewed stakeholder engagement drive, the Managing Director, Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) of the Ghana National Fire Service, Chief Fire Officer Daniella Mawusi Ntow-Sarpong, at the Service’s headquarters in Accra. The visit was to formally congratulate the CFO on her appointment and to introduce the revitalised mandate and service offerings of NIB following its full recapitalization under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama. Chief Dr. Zakaria, who was accompanied by a cross-functional team from the Bank, described the interaction as part of NIB’s broader objective to rebuild strategic relationships with key national institutions. Congratulating the CFO on her elevation, Chief Dr. Zakaria applauded her leadership and reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to working closely with national security institutions to promote financial empowerment and institutional development. He emphasized that NIB has entered a new phase of transformation—now fully recapitalized, with a restored capital adequacy ratio and a renewed focus on delivering excellent banking services. “Banking with NIB now comes with a full bouquet of benefits—24-hour service, competitive staff scheme loans, upgraded digital banking platforms, personalised customer experience, and tailored investment services,” he said. “We are positioning ourselves as the bank of choice for Ghana’s working population and national institutions, and we believe our partnership with the Ghana National Fire Service will be a model for institutional collaboration,” he added. Chief Dr. Zakaria also presented the Bank’s Provident Fund Scheme to the CFO and her leadership team, highlighting the long-term financial security and value the scheme could provide to Fire Service staff. He explained that the scheme is supported by robust fund administration, timely disbursements, and attractive returns, making it a prudent financial planning tool for public sector workers. In her remarks, CFO Ntow-Sarpong expressed her appreciation for the visit and extended warm congratulations to Chief Dr. Zakaria on his appointment. She welcomed the renewed outlook of NIB and commended the Bank’s efforts to reposition itself as a key player in Ghana’s financial and industrial landscape. “The transformation happening at NIB is refreshing, and it is encouraging to see a national bank that is investing in institutional partnerships and creating real value for public service professionals,” she said. She assured the Managing Director that the Fire Service would study the proposed Provident Fund Scheme and consult internally on the best pathway forward. She also expressed interest in the Bank’s staff loan services and committed to engaging staff to take full advantage of the products on offer. The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties affirming their desire to build a mutually beneficial relationship that supports the mandate of the Fire Service while advancing NIB’s vision of national development through targeted financial solutions.
