Regent of Bimbila Pays Courtesy Call on Managing Director of NIB

Regent of the Nanumba Kingdom, who also doubles as the Ag. President of the Northern Region House of Chiefs and President of the Nanumba Traditional Counsil, Nyalinbolgu Naa Yakuku Andani Dasana, together with a Member of Cabinet, Alhaji Tijani and the Personal Secretary to the Chief, Dr. Rashid Mohammed, paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of the National Investment Bank PLC, Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria, on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.The visit was to congratulate and commend the Managing Director on his transformational leadership and the progress made by the Bank under his stewardship.

During the visit, the Regent commended the Managing Director for his efforts and appealed to the Bank to establish a presence in Bimbila to enable businesses and communities to access banking services and transact more efficiently. He assured the Bank that the traditional authorities and people of Bimbila are ready and willing to welcome and support NIB in establishing a presence in the Kingdom.In response, Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria expressed his appreciation to the Regent and his delegation for the visit. He assured them that the request would be given the utmost consideration, noting that Bimbila is an important commercial centre with significant business potential.Our Managing Director further indicated that a team from the Bank would visit Bimbila for a feasibility study to explore the appropriate measures and requirements to establish a presence in the area.

Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to building a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with the Nanumba Traditional council, people of Bimbila and the wider community.
