The Honourable Minister for Finance has officially inaugurated a new nine-member Board of Directors for the National Investment Bank PLC (NIB), charging the board to operate with the independence, integrity, and professionalism that the Bank and the Ghanaian public deserve. In his remarks, the Minister announced a bold and strategic decision by the Government to fully recapitalize NIB PLC. He assured that fuller details of this comprehensive recapitalization plan will be made public during the upcoming Mid-Year Budget Review presentation to Parliament. “I extend my congratulations to the newly inaugurated Board, led by Mr. Frank Adu Jnr., who brings renewed energy and leadership to the institution,” the Minister said. In his acceptance speech, Chairman of the Board, Mr Frank Adu Jnr. was confident that collectively the Board would rise to the challenge to steer the affairs of NIB. It was his hope and plea that government would continue to support them as they drive the Bank forward. The newly constituted Board comprises accomplished professionals with diverse expertise across finance, law, medicine, governance, and public service.
