Edmund is an audit professional with over 25 years’ experience in Audit Practice and Internal Auditing. He has a remarkable knowledge and expertise in Auditing, Accounting, Internal Controls, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Fraud Investigation and Public Sector Financial Management
At NIB, Edmund worked as the Head, Compliance/AMLRO before he was appointed the Chief Internal Auditor in 2019.
Edmund is a known Internal Auditor with entrenched professional skills and core values such as independence, objectivity and integrity. His accomplishments in NIB Plc are centred on corporate governance systems, risk management and internal controls.
Prior to joining NIB Plc, he was the Senior Manager at Abass Consulting Ltd and the Finance Manager at Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). Additionally, he worked with Coopers and Lybrand and PricewaterhouseCoopers as Senior Associate.
Edmund is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Edmund holds a Master of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) degree from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree (Political Science with Sociology) from the University of Ghana.
