Belinda’s career has been defined by progressive leadership across critical banking functions, including Banking Operations, Risk Management and Control, Treasury, Strategic Business Development, Transaction Banking, and Digital & Electronic Banking. Prior to her current role, she served as Executive Director for Strategy and Growth at Universal Merchant Bank, where she led the Bank’s medium-term strategic transformation—a bold and forward-looking framework designed to position the institution on a sustainable and profitable growth trajectory.
Under her leadership, the Bank made significant strides in digital transformation, including the reinvigoration of digital channels and the redesign of customer-facing processes. These initiatives accelerated the Bank’s transition toward a paperless, remote-enabled ecosystem—enhancing operational efficiency, deepening customer engagement, and strengthening competitiveness in an increasingly digital financial landscape.

Belinda’s contributions to the industry have been widely recognised, including her selection among the Top 50 Ghanaian Female Finance Leaders in 2024—a testament to her impact, credibility, and leadership influence.
She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ghana and Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ghana.
