As the immediate past Chairperson of the African Union Interfaith Dialogue Forum (AU-IFDF) Steering Committee from November, 2023 to January, 2025, he led global efforts to foster interfaith harmony, preventing violent extremism and promote peace through inclusivity in Africa and beyond. He is currently a member of the AU-IFDF until December, 2027. Chief Zakaria is also an International Peace Fellow of the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation (COFP), and a member of the Guiding Principles Working Group of the Global Peace Foundation under the African Renaissance Initiative (ARI). Chief Zakaria has held several key leadership roles in the financial sector, leading initiatives that strengthened professional capacity and institutional growth. From 2009 to 2021, he served in strategic positions at the Controller and Accountant General's Department (CAGD), including roles in research, evaluation, and systems audit, ultimately rising to the rank of Assistant Controller and Accountant-General and Director in the Public Service. His visionary leadership and commitment to excellence have earned him wide respect, with a professional impact that extends beyond Ghana's borders. Currently, he serves as Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB) PLC, where he is spearheading a digital and sustainable transformation to reposition the bank as a leader in the industry.

Chief Dr. Doli-wura Zakaria holds a PhD in Public Policy Administration from Walden University, USA, Master's Degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana and a First Class Honours in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting from the Central University, Ghana. A Chartered Accountant and a proud member of several prestigious bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA, Ghana) and the American Society of Public Administrators (USA), his passion for teaching has led him to mentor future leaders as a lecturer at the Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS), the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Ghana.
